Well, bad news and good news. The bad news is I’ve lost my stylus, so I won’t be inking any pages for a while. Won’t stop me from pencilling, of course, but it’s going to delay comic updates just a bit longer.

On the good news front, I finished reworking the scripts I use to generate the print and web graphics from my source files (which had been another roadblock to continued updates), and moreover I’ve put them online if anyone wants to try them out for their own purposes.

Requirements at the moment are:

• Linux/OS X (it can work on Windows in theory, but I’ve not tried it)
• Ruby 1.8

• Ghostscript
• ImageMagick
• pngcrush

I’ve fixed the bug in the feeds; now I just need to finish redoing the software that builds the web-ready images and we’ll be back in business.

I’m still here. I’m currently working on fixing an annoying bug in the blogging software that’s left some of the syndication feeds slightly broken, as well as redoing the scripts I use to prep the comic pages for web and print.

Hopefully the comic will also benefit from the additional time I’ll have had to think through some of the writing.
